Linda Cantrell is the owner of Monterey Cookhouse and is a well-known personality on the Monterey Peninsula having spent many years associated with the restaurant business in one capacity or the other. Fun and outgoing you can usually find her at the Cookhouse just about every day. Linda has always been passionate about cooking and is a self-proclaimed “foodie” always exploring new ideas and recipes to serve in her restaurant.
In 2011 Linda received the annual John "Spud" Spadaro Hospitality Award which acknowledges local restaurant entrepreneurs who best embody the spirit and generosity of the award's namesake. The inaugural award was given to Linda who is well known for her spirit, warmth, and free hugs given to her "extended family" at the restaurant.
Linda also co-hosted the popular radio show "In the Company of Angels" where her quick wit and infectious laugh made her an instant success. As an avid lover of animals you can usually find her in the company of Wolfie, an eight year-old Schutzhund trained Alsatian from Germany.

A new addition to Linda's world this Christmas is a female Rottweiler puppy named "Bodhi". In Buddhism, bodhi means the awakening refering to the unique consciousness of a fully liberated yogi. But right now she's fast asleep. |
