Monterey Cookhouse is a reasonably priced Italian restaurant best described as a fusion between Italian, European slow food (sustainable, eco-friendly, use of local products), American comfort food, and steakhouse. We feature fresh seafoods and locally grown produce where possible. Our Italian pasta dishes are delicious and the mouthwatering pizza's cooked in our wood-fired pizza oven are simply fabulous! If you've never tried a wood-fired pizza we highly recommend you give one a try.
If you're in the mood for a steak try one of our flame broiled steaks cooked to perfection over an oak fired grill - simply delicious. Our ever popular "finger-licking good" ribs and briskets are lightly smoked and barbecued in our Traeger smoker for 10 to 12 hours depending on the cut of meat.
We offer a full bar and lounge area with several wide-screen TV's while still offering a quiet atmosphere for conversation. “Fresh and homemade” is the hallmark of our cuisine! We don't use artificial flavorings, harmful additives, or instant mixes. All of our sauces, salad dressings, and sorbet are made from scratch. You can taste the difference!

Join us for a our very popular evening of wine tasting followed by dinner. Every month we feature a different local winery. The wine tasting (and a presentation by the owner or vintner) is followed by a special dinner offered either as a la carte or full course.
